Current Project 1
This is a large retro-fit custom installation project currently being carried out for a client in the east of England. The existing premises are a two storey construction of approximately 4,500 square feet. The first phase of this project is now complete - further details are available in our portfolio section.
Loft conversion
The first phase of the project includes a loft conversion which is being created to provide space for a dedicated home theatre and library. The loft space will also house the equipment racks which provide the audio visual distribution feeds and sources for the whole house. The dedicated home theatre will be equipped with a full HD (High Definition) projector, static acoustically transparent projection screen and a high quality 7.1 surround sound processor, amplifiers and speakers. Control will be provided by a wireless WiFi touch screen internet tablet.
Living Room Home Theatre
The living room will also contain a home theatre which is to be equipped with a 50” full HD 16:9 plasma screen as well as a 90” projection screen and full HD projector. A façade will be created in the existing bay window to house the local equipment, provide a base for the plasma screen and also house the custom in-wall speakers, acoustic back boxes and motorised projector screen. The full HD projector and video processor package will be located in a motorised projector lift, itself located in a ceiling down stand. The audio will be handled by a high quality 5.1 sound processor and amplification with a matching array of surround speakers and subwoofers, the speakers will be mounted flush to the wall. This will all be controlled by a WiFi touch screen internet tablet.
Audio and Video Distribution
Audio distribution will be provided throughout the whole residence allowing the client to listen to a single musical source in one, many, or all areas or different sources to be playing in different areas simultaneously. Audio sources will include satellite, FM radio, DAB radio and a hard drive music server storage and playback system. Flush mounted speakers are to be incorporated in the ceilings of many of the rooms. Additional audio functionality will include room to room intercom and room to house paging as well as room to gate access intercom. The video distribution system will utilise multiple satellite receivers, multiple CCTV feeds and a hard-drive DVD movie server as video sources. These will be available to all rooms equipped with display screens. The video distribution systems will be integrated with the audio distribution system to allow for seamless operation.
Lighting Control System
A low voltage lighting control system will be installed. This system will include architecturally styled, in-wall panels to control lighting scenes throughout the home and exterior landscape areas.
Data Network
A data network will be installed in the property for the client’s home and business computer, internet and integration needs. A WiFi access point located in the loft will provide the whole house with wireless internet connectivity.
Security, Fire and CCTV
A state of the art security system will be installed incorporating motion detectors, panic buttons and wall mounted control panels. Smoke detectors will also be integrated. The system will integrate into the whole home automation system, providing access to lighting control functions for added safety and convenience. The latest technology will be used to provide a CCTV system which will be connected to the video distribution system and digital recording system. This system will integrate into the whole home automation system, providing access to CCTV footage from any in-wall touch screen or display screen.
