Residential: Project F

This custom installation was undertaken for a client in Denmark who renovated and extended their property. The house will has three levels and approximately 10,000 square feet of floor space. 

The installation comprised of distributed audio and video, CCTV, access control, room to room intercom, and whole house paging.

Multi-Room Audio and Video Distribution

A whole house audio distribution system provides the ability to listen to a single audio source in one, many or all areas, or different sources in different areas simultaneously. Flush mounted ceiling and wall speakers were fitted in each of the required rooms along with weather-proof speakers on the external terrace and touch screens provide an easy to use interface to control the audio source to each area. Audio sources include satellite based programming, FM programming, DAB programming and a Kaleidescape hard drive music server storage and playback system. The audio system is seamlessly integrated with a video distribution system which provides the ability to view sources such as multiple satellite TV receivers, multiple CCTV feeds, and the Kaleidescape hard drive movie server storage and playback system in any room equipped with a display device.

Other Control Systems

The system is designed to inter-operate with the Building Management System (provided by another contractor) allowing the Crestron touch screens to also have control over the lighting, security, CCTV, fire, and ventilation and air conditioning systems which are provided with the BMS. Large wired touch screens are mounted in communal areas on each floor of the house and smaller wired touch screens are used in all other principal rooms. Waterproof wireless remote controls are provided in the wet areas of the Spa lounge and master en-suite. Wi-Fi remote controls are also be provided in the living room, TV room and children’s bedrooms.
